If index.html page is opened in the browser, everything is the same as WeBuzz.IM online web messenger. You can login into Gtalk/MSN/Yahoo! Messenger and other networks, and chat with your friends.

To use WeBuzz.IM online web messenger, you only need to visit http://webuzz.im/ and other URLs. You will be updated automatically.

Lots of our WeBuzz.IM online web messenger service users can not access to Gtalk/MSN/Yahoo! Messenger and others services, because their networks block them. There are chances that their networks will block WeBuzz.IM’s websites. So we are introducing WeBuzz.IM offline web messenger to continue providing services to those users who can not access to http://webuzz.im/.

If offline web messenger is downloaded to your local computer, your network can not block you from launching the web messenger. The offline web messenger contains a list of WeBuzz.IM service servers, it will keep searching the available server for your networks and connect for you. So almost all the time, you can chat happily with your friends.

One fallback of offline web messenger is that you need to keep the messenger updated by downloading the updated version if there is one, all by yourself. But it should not be a big problem. we are not updating frequently. We may update offline web messenger monthly or so.

WeBuzz.IM Web Messengers Update v20100701

We are very pleased to announce that WeBuzz.IM’s web messengers has rolled out update v20100701.

In this update, we improve the performance in the following ways:

Reduce HTTP requests for a much faster loading
Before this update, there will be about 60 HTTP requests to finish WeBuzz.IM web instant messenger loading.
Now only about 30 HTTP requests are required.
So it saves about 30 HTTP requests, which save about 5s ~ 10s for first time loading. It is about 25% faster.
Reduce IFRAME elements in chatting windows
Before this update, we use an IFRAME element for each chatting window. IFRAME is an element that consumes large memory and costs lots of CPU time.
Now IFRAME element is not used. So your chatting should have a much smoother experience.
Truly close chatting windows if it is closed
Before this update, each chatting window will be kept until you login out, even you close it already.
Now we will truly close chatting window it you click close button. And if you reopen it, we will restore chatting history for you.

In a simple word, we keep improving the performance of WeBuzz.IM web messengers.

Besides improving WeBuzz.IM’s performance. We also enable some new features:

Support your language in WeBuzz.IM
Click on the top “English” link, you can choose your own language. If your messenger has already been opened, close it and re-open it. It will be in your language for your chatting. You can also visit your language page directly. For example: English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, Français, Deutsch, हिंदी, Italiano, 日本語, Português, русский, Español, …
Support customize your translation for WeBuzz.IM
If your find some translations are incorrect, you can click on the top “help translate” link. A translation editor will be opened for you, you can search the incorrect words, and provide your translations. We will merge your translations later. Please give us your translation helps. You are helping people in your language.
Support social bookmarking and sharing
We add supports of social bookmarking and sharing, which powered by AddThis. You can add WeBuzz.IM web messengers to your social sharing websites by one click. If given sharing sites is not listed by default, you can click the plus button to find more sharing sites.

Support minimizing and closing WeBuzz.IM widgets

Current translations are not perfect. Your helps are needed. If you find some translations incorrect, you can click on “help translate” to open the translation editor and provide your own translations. We will merge your translations later to give our users a better service.

Lots of people ask for Facebook Chat support since WeBuzz.IM is online. And now it comes. According to Facebook Chat XMPP support, you must have a username first, before you can use Facebook Chat outside its website. So if you have no short username yet, try to get one from Facebook official website:

1. Go to account settings:

2. Change username, check availability and confirm about your username.

3. Logout and login again to make the username working. If you do not logout and login again, you still can not login to Facebook Chat outside its official website.

4. To use WeBuzz.IM multiple protocol web IM services, please visit http://webuzz.im/. After page is loaded, click the bottom Facebook icon to launch Facebook Chat window, and enter your given username and password …

To use other mail provider, you should choose “Other …” for provider, and then click “Configure” link to configure mail server settings:

WeMail, Free Web Mail Client for Gmail

We, WeBuzz.IM, are very pleased to announce our new web service “WeMail“, a free web mail client for Gmail. Besides Google Mail, we are planing to add supports of other mail providers like Yahoo! Mail, AOL Mail, Hotmail and so on in later updates. WeMail uses similar Gmail UI, so those Gmail users will feel much comfortable.

Currently, WeMail supports both POP3 and IMAP on Gmail. But enabling Gmail’s IMAP will give you a faster Gmail accessing. Without IMAP being enabled, we will connect to your Gmail by POP3 protocol, but result in disabling lots of Gmail features. Please enable Gmail’s IMAP by “Log into the official Gmail website -> “Settings” -> Forwarding and POP/IMAP -> IMAP Access: Enable IMAP”.

We are very pleased to introduce another WeBuzz service called “WeBrowse“. WeBrowse is a photo social browsing service. It is for fun. There are lots of tagged photos with high quality. These photos are already filtered by millions of Chinese people. So all those photos there are popular enough to be listed here. And we will update those photos frequently to bring you updated.

WeBuzz.IM has rolled out another update v20090919, hiding description texts and hiding logo panel to leave more room.In a result, you may find your chatting background is much cleaner, and you can enjoy a happier web chatting experience.

Adding Web Jabber/XMPP and Improving Web Gtalk

We are very pleased to announce that WeBuzz.IM supports web Jabber/web XMPP ( http://webuzz.im/jabber/ ) from now on. And WeBuzz.IM’s web Gtalk is improved to support Google Apps users.

Jabber/XMPP is an open and widely used IM protocol. The well know Google Talk is using Jabber/XMPP. And there are lots of jabber servers besides Gtalk and jabber.org server . You can google “jabber server list” for more jabber servers. It seems that lots of server provide Gtalk/MSN/AIM/Yahoo! Messenger/ICQ/QQ gateway for its users. To learn more about Jabber/XMPP, please visit http://jabber.org/ and http://xmpp.org/ .

To login your jabber, you should login Jabber with full email address. The string “@” will tell WeBuzz.IM that you want to login jabber server with your user name.

We also improve our web Gtalk service to support Google Apps users. You can login Googl Talk with extra “@” in the username field to tell WeBuzz.IM that you are using different email rather than those “@gmail.com”.
