We love Google Translate service. And we use it a lot. We just learned a new Google Translate game, named “Finding Google Translate Equilibrium”: Visit Google Translate(http://translate.google.com/translate_t#), select two languages, and then translate a given message forward and backward until there are two translated messages got the same translated message for each other.

In Cuba, Iran, North Korea or Sudan, you may find that it is difficult to login Live/MSN Messenger in the past few days. Anyhow you can login but it was with an error dialog saying “81003C Error”.

The reason why is that Microsoft was following United States’ sanctions on Cuba, which included restricted travel and trade. According to CBS news report, Microsoft has added a technological blockade against the country.

It seems that someone use proxy like SneakyPass ( http://sneakypass.com ) to use WeBuzz.IM web Gtalk/MSN Messenger/Yahoo/AIM services. We guess that webuzz.im is blocked by your network or *.im domains is not accessible in your network.

We test WeBuzz.IM on SneakyPass, and everything is fine. So if you do have difficulties in accessing webuzz.im, you may try . But we still recommend you to visit WeBuzz.IM services by alternative URLs, which may work for you without any anonymous proxy.

By the way, if you have problems when using other proxies, please let us know. We would like to help you. Providing better instant messaging accessibility for our services is our goal.

WeBuzz.IM was developed from demo.java2script.org, and then izuz.net with uziz.net, and now webuzz.im. So there are lots of URLs for the web Gtalk/MSN/AIM/Yahoo! Messenger services. Here is a list of available offical URLs:

Someone may embed WeBuzz.IM client in other pages by copying index.html, *.css, *.js and images. We support them to do so. But they have to update *.css/*.js/*.html file frequently or those pages will be out of date very soon.

BTW: Some visitors report that they can not access our primary server http://webuzz.im/ . Those visitors may take some tries on the alternative URLs.

iZuZ Web IM Services Being Down for 24h+

We are very sorry that iZuZ’s web IM services were down for more than 24 hours. We feel very sorry for all those inconveniences caused by this service being down disaster.

Lots of our users reported problems. Thank all of you.

We were on vocation and our web IM services have no monitor system yet. So only until today, back from vocation, we knew that our services were down! This was a big lesson for us!

We will learn from this lesson and will make our best to provide more stable web IM services. Here are our coming jobs, if you would like to know:

1. Build a monitor system to keep our services online
2. Rebuild our web IM services as a distributed system to provide more stable services
3. Build a system to reporting status messages to our administrators’ mobile phone
4. More … We are listening to all of you.

iZuZ Web IM for Mobile Phones (Test Only)

We are testing our new iZuZ Web IM for Mobile Phone. So if you have an iPhone, Android phone or other smartphones with WebKit browser, you can take a test for your Gtalk, MSN, Yahoo Messenger or AIM:

This web IM for mobile phone has a simpler UI than our traditional web IM at http://izuz.net/ . But the code base is still considered too large for mobile phone. And Android emulator seems to be hung.

Desktop user, who would prefer to this simpler UI, can also use it.

We are very pleased to announce our izuz.net’s web IM 20080929 update:

1. We now support avatar in MSN/Windows Live Messenger and AIM.

2. We fixed bugs on MSN and AIM, so chatting through izuz.net is much stabler than before.

3. Other UI bugs.

We are working out for other improvements of our web IM services. Please let us know what your thoughts are.

Google Chrome is Supported on izuz.net Web IMs

Google Chrome was released some days ago and we found that about 3%-5% of our visitors used this new browser for our web IM servies. But those early users may meet crashing with izuz.net’s web IM services. So we decided to support this hot browser as fast as possible.

After making tons of tests and fixing all those nasty bugs of izuz.net web IM services on Google Chrome and other browsers, we just updated our web IM services to version 20080921. And Google Chrome is well supported.

And according to the testing result, we strongly recommend all of izuz.net web IM users to install Google Chrome. Here are our reasons:

It is much faster than any current available browsers.
According to our tests on loading speed, here is our recommendation order:
1. Google Chrome
2. Firefox 3.0+
3. Safari 3.1+
4. Internet Explorer 7.0+
5. Opera 9.25+
6. Firefox 2.0.*
7. Internet Explorer 6.0
It is much easier to load the web IM pages into a standalone window.
You can create izuz.net’s web IM “application shortcuts” on your desktop, and load it from your desktop.
